Deposit Check At Atm

 

Cash deposits to a no-envelope ATM might be available immediately or within one business day. Check deposits typically post on the same day you deposit, but your bank might only make the first $200 of your check available within one or two business days. The remaining amount should be available for use after a few business days. You can make unlimited deposits into your Money Market, Online Savings and Interest Checking accounts. If you are using Ally eCheck Deposit℠, you’re only allowed to deposit checks totaling $50,000 in a single day and up to $250,000 every 30 calendar days. Depositing checks with your phone

  1. You can find the check deposit button in the navigation drawer of the Android app (tap Move Money, then Deposit a check).
  2. Tap that button, and you'll be guided through the process of submitting a deposit for review.
  3. Once the deposit is submitted, we'll review it and send you a support message.

You can submit a check or money order with our iOS and Android apps. You'll see this option in the Move Money menu.

Things to keep in mind

  • Whenever possible, submit your deposit before 5 p.m. ET (2 p.m. PT) on a business day. This ensures we'll be able to start processing it that day, making your funds available as quickly as possible.
  • Since we'll be using your photo to create a legal copy of the deposit, make sure the image is clear and it includes all four corners of the deposit. Please don't write on the deposit or destroy it until we've confirmed it's been accepted.

How much can I deposit with Photo Check Deposit?

Your individual Photo Check Deposit limit can vary based on a few factors (like how long you've been with Simple, or how many checks you've deposited recently).

To find out your current limit:

  1. Check the mobile app. From the Move Money tab, tap Deposit a check to show your current limit.
  2. Talk to us! We'll let you know your current limit.

If you have a large check (yay!) that's over your limit, you can deposit it by mail.

When will my funds be available?

Generally, the funds will be available after 1 business day. If you submit a deposit before 5 p.m. ET (2 p.m. PT), we can start processing it that day. Accounts under 31 days old are subject to an extended hold of 9 business days.

Sign in

Choose 'Deposit checks' in the navigation menu of your Chase Mobile® app and choose the account. 

Take pictures

Enter the check amount and tap 'Front'. With our new 'Auto Capture' feature, the picture of the front and back of the endorsed check will be captured — or you can choose to take the pictures manually.

Submit the deposit

Confirm the details, submit and you're done.

How does Chase QuickDeposit℠ work?

In the Chase Mobile® app, choose “Deposit Checks” in the navigation menu and select the account. Enter the amount of the check and tap 'Front'. With our 'Auto Capture' feature, the picture of the front and back of the endorsed check will be captured — or you can choose to take the pictures manually. Verify your information and submit your deposit. After you submit, you can deposit another check or view the receipt. You’ll get an email when your deposit is received — and another when it’s accepted. If the deposit is rejected, you’ll also get an emailed explanation. Remember to properly endorse the back of the check with your signature and 'For electronic deposit only at Chase.'

When will my funds be available?

Deposits submitted before 11 PM Eastern time on a business day generally will be available by the next business day. Deposits submitted after 11 PM or on a non-business day will be processed the next business day. However, we may delay availability if we require further review of the deposit. Any information about delayed availability will be provided in the Secure Message Center, which is accessible in the main navigation menu.

What should I do with my check(s) after I’ve deposited it?

After you complete your transaction, write “deposited” and the date of deposit on the face of the check. Please retain the marked check for two business days or until you receive our notification that your QuickDeposit has been accepted. After that time, you may destroy it.
